The lived experience of many Coloradans isn’t always reflected in the headlines about our robust and growing economy. Research and policy analysis provide a foundation for our policy proposals and informs the public about important issue that affect the health, well-being and economic security of Coloradans.
Through research and policy analysis, we inform the policy dialogue across the state and develop ideas to bridge the gaps in our economy, so all Coloradans have the chance to thrive.
CCLP works in partnership with the advocacy community to provide the data and analysis that support meaningful policy change, like the initiative to increase the minimum wage to $12 by 2020. To better understand the terms and implications of subprime loans, we partnered with the Center for Responsible Lending and the Bell Policy Center to review nearly 200 collection cases filed by a large lender against delinquent borrowers in Denver County Court and published the findings in a report.
We are a trusted resource for media coverage on how the Colorado economy is performing for people across the income spectrum. Our annual State of Working Colorado is widely acknowledged as a barometer of how Colorado’s economy works for everyone.
You can find plenty of examples of our work in research policy and analysis in Resources and Publications.
