Become a part of the solution!
We hear stories about the opioid crisis almost daily on the national news. This epidemic is one that does not discriminate. The devastating effects are felt here in our neighborhoods. Colorado heroin-related deaths have increased by 500% since 2006. Overdose deaths have exceeded the number of deaths by automobile accidents. How do we find a solution for this crisis?
The Haven IS that solution. The Haven is a residential, substance use treatment program for women, that helps to break the cycle of addiction with a 2-Generational approach. Of the 36 women at the Haven, 16 are pregnant or parenting mothers. These women receive life-saving care at The Haven, while their children are nutured at the Baby Haven – a quality, licensed early childhood education center. This innovative 2-Gen model creates an environment for our families to become safe, sober and successful.
