Diane Donaldson

Diane Donaldson has been in the field of substance abuse for 19 years. Ms. Donaldson has 21 years experience and knowledge in the Therapeutic Community model. She is in recovery from alcohol and drug dependence. Ms. Donaldson entered a Therapeutic Community treatment program on July 24, 1984 and graduated in September of 1986. Ms. Donaldson has knowledge from a personal point of view regarding how addiction affected her life, the lives of her sons, family members and other relationships and uses her knowledge and training to relate and respond to the female population that she serves.

Ms. Donaldson has been with the A.R.T.S. programs for a total of 16 years. Ms. Donaldson is a licensed, CAC III, Alcohol and Addictions Counselor, for the State of Colorado. Ms. Donaldson is honored to be employed with the U.C.D.H.S.C./A.R.T.S./Denver Women’s Correctional Facility. She is honored to be able to work with a population of women in prison, who work hard to understand the issues and behaviors that led them to a lifestyle of addiction and crime, who want to break cycles and make a better life for themselves, their children and families.
