Bill Winn is the Founding President of Friends of the Haven, a 501 c 3 Colorado Non-Profit established in September 2006 for the sole purpose of advocating for the Haven and Baby Haven. Bill led Friends of the Haven in a successful $3.7 million dollar capital campaign to build a new 9,000 square foot Therapeutic Early Childhood Education Center for drug exposed babies. The Baby Haven was completed and in operation on the Ft. Logan campus in March 2011. Friends of the Haven continues to advocate for the Haven supporting many of the program needs.
Winn graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering with honors from Georgia Tech in 1957 and is married to Kathryn Ann Towns Winn. They have 3 Children and 8 Grand Children. Bill Winn was Founding Partner of Winn-Marion Barber, LLP a sales and distribution company with Offices throughout the Rocky Mountains. www.winn-marion.com He retired in 2004 after 32 years as Founder and President. His son continues to operate and manage the firm.
Winn is a member of the Contemporary Realist Group at the Denver Art Museum, sponsoring acquisition of paintings for the Museum from currently living regional artists, and serves on the Coors Western Art Advisory committee of the National Western Stock Show. He served on committee to draft The University of Denver Long Range Campus Use Plan published in 2002 and served as President of University Park Community Council, a registered neighborhood organization in Denver.
