I consider myself as the "Mom" of the program. I started with the Haven on November 1, 1992 and we started accepting clients at the end of November that year. I have seen the many changes over the years. When we started out with no babies and a total of 12 clients, then later in 1993 we were able to serve up to 4 infants. We have now grown and can serve up to 26 infants and their mothers at any given time and a total of 64 women in three houses! I have seen many successes and cried with many. This program is very unique and no-one ever leaves without taking something with them.
