Danielle Meir

Danielle Meir joined The Haven Mother's House as the Doula Supervisor in June, 2007. Ms. Meir is a trainer for the Chicago Health Connection Community Based Doula program at the Haven Mother’s House. She currently provides training and supervision to the community based Doula’s. Ms. Meir has over 10 years working with families of young children. Her past work experiences include teaching preschool, working as a childcare provider, and working as a home visitor as a team member of an early intervention team. She has worked with diverse families throughout this time and her passion and concentration has been on high risk families. Ms. Meir has received specialized training in early childhood development, early intervention, early literacy, and infant mental health.  She received her Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration with a special emphasis on programs serving families with young children who have special needs from Baker College in Michigan. She received her Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health Endorsement through Wayne State University, Merrill Palmer Institute, Detroit, Michigan.
